THE CHARACTERS
Key Players in the film, Cedric & Alysia
Sir Cedric Vale
Sir Cedric Vale has just returned to his homeland after training to become a fully realized Knight of Covenant.

Cedric grew up in a small family that served for many years in the halls of Castle Theringard. He eventually joined the castle guard and became a young prodigy warrior that the Baron De Corps took an interest to. The Baron admired the youth's passion and honorable character, and became an informal mentor to him over the course of his life. Despite his family's lack of wealth, Cedric would go on to learn from the highest scholars and train with the best warriors Pres had to offer.
It was also during this time that Cedric would meet the longtime love of his life, the young Lady Alysia. Though both only seventeen years of age, the two became inseparable and began dreaming of a long and happy life together.
However, his Path would soon change when The Lancer of The Knights of Covenant came to Castle Theringard calling forth worthy men to take up call and join the ranks of The Vigilant. The Power’s That Be shifted in young Cedric’s heart and he felt himself called to the Path of the Righteous Warrior. He left his home and his love, with a promise to return and marry Alysia properly.
The next eight years of harsh training and discipline molded Cedric into a deeply loyal and honorable warrior. Though Cedric ability to grasp the knight’s ethereal power known to the Knights as The Flame was less than desirable by Vigilant standards, his unyielding character and prowess in combat earned him is rightful place as a Brotherhood Knight.
As the Fates would have it, right as Cedric would have made plans to return home, a summons came for him from the halls of Castle Theringard. A terrible threat has surfaced and The Baron De Corps has requested Cedric Vale travel back to his home to serve as his personal Guardian.
Now filled with excitement and caution, Cedric rides home to undertake this next chapter in his life. He longs to once again see his home and the woman he plans to rekindle his love with. But will all be as it was when he left home eight years ago?
Lady Alysia
Lady Alysia, otherwise known now as The Baroness De Corps was born in the town of Carionne. Her parents were Weavers, and served under Pres' most wealthy family, The De Perras.

Alysia learned her family's trade, but soon took a keen interest into court politics, and when she was fifteen began working as a court serf at The Castle Pale (To this day owned by The De Perras).

After a year of stellar service, she was recommended a great oppurunity to journey west and serve at her nation's capitol, Castle Theringard. Eager to learn more of the goings of running and caring for a nation, she took it without a second thought.

In her first year, she served as handmaiden directly under The Baroness De corps, and formed a good rapport with both her and her husband.

She would very soon also meet a young Cedric Vale, and the two would turn a passing fancy into a blossoming romance. Each night the two would come to one another, sitting beside the waters and talking. They shared dreams, and aspirations, and found in each other a lifelong partner.

However, when Cedric was called to take on the Path of the Knight, Alysia remained in Pres where she served the Baroness until her death two years later.

Due to The Baron's inability to produce an heir, the family began to seek alternative options to continue the bloodline. Many women were chosen, Alysia among them, to serve as surrogate's for the Baron's new child. Now the Baron in his grief had begun to take a liking to Alysia who served him and wife kindly, and eventually chose her for this duty.

As The Fates would play, The Baron had also begun to fall in love with her, and so he asked for her hand in marriage instead, granting her the title Baroness De Corps. Feeling it was in her duty to serve the people of Pres, she did not refuse, and the two were wed. Her love for Cedric never truly died, however, and though she wised to write and tell him the news, she thought it would hurt both of them too much to speak of it.

Lady Alysia then served as Baroness for many years, using her knowledge of business to bring trade and a slow prospering wealth to the capital. However, something has happened that has forced her to pull back her influence. A danger, shrouded by mystery that only the highest up in the country can know.

The Baron De Corps
Theo De Corps assumed the throne of Pres when he was twenty seven years old and has served as his nation's protector ever since.

Theo's grandfather served in the second half of Taridi Invasion of Pres, and while the Treaty of Broken Spears ceased the bloodshed of any major conquest, there still remains grudges between the nations of Pres and Salaar. Now, however, conflicts and minor skirmishes have brought the two nations to the cold sweat before what may yet be another major war.

The Baron feels it is in his best interest to show the strength of his nation and the free people that live in it, but facing Salaar alone would be impossible, and without Brugadia's support, the little kingdom teeters between its tough decisions.

The Baron has never faced open war, but his recent skirmishes to take back lands once held by Pres are stirring his enemies against him. Worse then, The It'Laq of Salaar has just unleashed his most powerful threat yet, one that comes to strike The Baron right at his heart.

Fearing the worst for his beloved wife Alysia, he has called in the help of Cedric Vale as well as his nephew, The Bloodied Prince of Pres to council him in secret. The halls of Castle Theringard are not as safe as they used to be, and any man or woman may yet be a traitor.
Deacon
Deacon was born the only child of an incredibly poor family that lived in the city of Truo beside Castle Theringard. Very quickly however, he was left an orphan after his father abandoned the family and his mother passed from disease.

It would have seemed natural for the young child to turn to theft, but the boy was instilled with a strong sense of right and wrong, and so he intuitively gave his services to any of the guarsdmen and travelers in the city in exchange for food and shelter. Eventually, a soldier recommended he join the army, where Deacon served for many years both in and out of the capitol.

When he was around 20 years old, he was assinged to the guard of Castle Theringard where he rose through the ranks becoming Captain of The Guard in no time. During his time, here, he became great friends with another young guard named Cedric Vale, and the two would stay close friends until Cedric departure.

Deacon then took many years to serve as a Captain in The Free Peoples military where he commanded many small skirmishes against the nation of Salaar. Now however, The Baron has called him back to the castle where his keen sense of discretion and honor shall be tested in the face of a new danger.
Hanne
Hanne was born to a family of Bokaru descent in the town of Truo. For the last six years, she has served as the Head Handmaiden to The Baroness De Corps, and has made a sustainable life for herself in the Castle Theringard.

Her eyes have seen any and all of the secrets of the royal family and she has a deep understanding of all current events that take place both inside and outside the castle walls. Her word travels well with the guard, and she is even well known to the powerful aristoractic families that constantly treat with The De Corps.

Her strong character and pleasant demeanor have served her well in her years of labor, but with all that is going on during these dark times, she is going to have to rely on more than manners and work ethic to prosper.
Prince Arethas
Prince Arethas De Borg, otherwise known throughout the land as The Bloodied Prince of Pres is a warmongering youth and commander of The Free Peoples Military.

Despite being only twenty four years of age, the Prince has been the strategic force behind all of Pres' recent successful skirmishes in Salaar.

Being from the noble family name De Borg, Arethas was instructed by the best the nation had to offer growing up, and very quickly he discovered his passion for war.

At sixteen he won his first victory commanding in the Battle of Boulon, and has since fought in over forty skirmishes, all of which he served alongside his men with sword in hand.

Arethas and his family bear many of the grudges against the Taridi nation for their conquest not even a century ago, and the Prince is constantly attempting to unite the people of Pres to take back what once was theirs.

Now, fresh off his battle in Carrionne, he rides back to Castle Theringard to council his uncle in the possible wartime to come. The hot-headed Prince is next in line for the throne and is eager to continue his reclaiming conquest, but lordship over Pres is not his... yet.
The Haqari
Deep within the heart of the Four Eyed Hand, there exists an organization who’s very name brings daggers to the hearts of the brave.
The Haqari, or better known to most common folk as The Ring of Shadowed Blades, is a brotherhood of Savis’ most faithful and most gifted assassins.
They say the Haqari have glowing white eyes, some in pairs of four, and blades that run as black as midnight. Some claim to have seen them pass through solid rock, and pluck arrows out of mid air as if they knew just when they would arrive.
Whether true or not, The Ring of Shadowed Blades is a formidable terror that no man can escape for long. If someone comes to actually survive an encounter, it is more in sense that the assassin's dark plan merely allowed for them to go on living.

Who can say what their plans will be, but there are whispers that their eyes have been pulled to Castle Theringard...
